About the Artist

I'm Robert Drimal, the artist behind Robert Drimal Art. 

From the moment I could hold a pencil, drawing became more than just a pastime—it became a part of who I am. As a child, I was captivated by the simple magic of bringing an idea to life on a blank page. That passion followed me through school and eventually led me to study Fine Arts in college, where I pursued a diploma and deepened my understanding and appreciation of the craft.

My work is cantered around capturing the essence of my subjects—whether it’s a celebrity, a beloved pet, or an everyday face that tells a unique story. While my focus has been primarily on black and white portraiture, I’m constantly exploring new subjects and styles that challenge and fulfil me as an artist.

Drawing is more than creating a likeness; it’s a connection. Each piece becomes an experience of purpose and self-expression—a therapeutic escape that offers both peace and satisfaction. Artists like Caravaggio, who infused emotion and drama into every brushstroke, continue to inspire me to dig deeper and aim higher.

By sharing my art with the world, I hope to create not only striking visuals but also meaningful connections—with the subjects I draw, and with those who view my work.
